Messi and Mascherano prepare for the knockout round

Leo Messi and Javier Mascherano will feature in the Round of 16 in the World Cup today.

The Argentinians, who are nearly the last team to play in the knockout round, will take on Switzerland at 6:00 PM, in Sao Paulo.

Switzerland played well in the group stage and won all of their matches save the game against France, which they lost 5-2.

Under the leadership of Leo Messi, who has scored four goals in three matches and has won three MVP awards from the three group stage matches, Argentina will look to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. If Argentina progresses to the next round, they will play against the winner of the United States, Belgium match.

The Argentinian manager, Alejandro Sabella, is preparing his team for the showdown with Switzerland with the uncertainty of Sergio Agüero’s availability for the match, who picked up a muscle injury in the group stage.
